Open range venison

Our open range venison comes from the South East of South Australia. Open Range venison is generally leaner and has a more complex flavour than farm bred venison. Venison is not only low in fat and cholesterol, but it is high in many vital nutrients like B vitamins, iron and phosphorus. Like any non-farm produced animal, venison is resistant to disease and does not live on a diet of antibiotics and hormones.

Available in Coles QLD stores from May 2013.

Open range goat

Goat meat is the most widely consumed meat in the world and has been for centuries. It is a traditional meat throughout many regions including the Middle East, Mediterranean, parts of Africa, the Carribean and throughout South-East Asia. It is a mild and sweet tasting meat, not gamey, low in cholesterol and low in calories. The cuts are all very similar to lamb; leg and leg cuts, loin, rack, rorequarter and diced goat meat.

Rabbits

Open range rabbit meat, which is leaner and tastier than the farmed variety, has a fabulous subtle, gamey flavour. Rabbit meat is relatively low in fat and high in protein. It is a good source of niacin, iron and vitamin B12.

Hares

Hares are more than double the size of rabbits and have darker flesh and a richer flavour.
